UNPOLLUTED BLOOD IS REQUIRED
TO ESCAPE ADVERSE JUDGEMENT.
Adam listened to his wife's voice and disobeyed
a command of God. All mankind are sinners and so die because of this inheritance
from the first Adam. We, in turn, are all subjects for sin. Thankfully, in His
mercy God has provided the way to salvation. He has accepted the death of the
perfected and sinless Jesus Christ as a sacrifice for our sins an acceptable ransom for what was lost in Adam. (1 Cor 15:20-22).
To be saved and acquire everlasting life, it is
necessary for us to receive a new spirit birth. (1 Peter 1:3 5). Beginning as babes in Christ, we progress toward Christlike maturity and the
much-desired destiny of everlasting life. With this in mind, Almighty God judges
mankind individually by three "witness bearers": "The Spirit, the water, and the blood."
(1 John 5:8 NEB & NWT).
Those who have the blood of one or more persons transfused into their veins, are
judged not only according to their own sins, but also according to the sins of
the sinners that contributed the blood. They have all disregarded the command of
God prohibiting the intake of blood into one's body. (Lev 17:11,14).
With reference to blood as a "witness
bearer" in each person, the Judgement of God upon those donating blood,
upon blood donor agencies, upon doctors, anaesthetists, nurses, policy makers
in the use of blood, hospital managers, and advocates of its administration, is
that although they believe they are saving patients' mortal lives by blood
transfusion, they are held accountable by the Word of God for having contributed
to the loss of eternal life for those patients. They are disobeying the command
of God prohibiting taking blood into one's body. Because they do not believe the testimony of God offering
eternal life through His Son Jesus Christ, they are thereby calling
Almighty God a liar. (1 John 5:6-12 NEB).
THE SAFE WAY TO USE BLOOD
IN SURGICAL PROCEDURES.
Donating one's own blood for
refrigerated storage, in advance of anticipated blood loss during a surgical
procedure on oneself, is permitted. In the case where the limit in the use of
synthetic crystalloids has been reached, blood loss may be replaced with plasma
expanders derived from one's own blood. The adoption of this method is not
breaking the Law of God, and ensures that this "witness bearer" of
our faith is unadulterated blood.
The minimum
period required for the extraction and storage of one's own blood before its use
in a surgical procedure on oneself, is approximately six weeks. This period of
time is considered safe for the donation of one's own blood before use on
oneself. With this in mind, all hospitals should have facilities to cater for
the many thousands of patients about to be operated on, so that their blood is
refrigerated for their future use. In this way, they will not offend God or be
abandoned by Him for having received blood donated by others.
The risk of
being transfused with contaminated blood from a donor is also a consideration.
Given that it is not possible to entirely refine a donor's blood so that it is
risk free, the only safe blood to use is one's own.
