"FROM THE SUNRISING I SHALL BRING YOUR SEED,
AND FROM THE SUNSET
I SHALL COLLECT YOU
YOU TOGETHER". BUT HOW? (Isaiah 43:5-7).
JEHOVAH WILL
GATHER HIS PEOPLE.
The beloved people of God the "great
crowd" will have "the glorious Eternal as (their)
river, a river never raided by a galley, sailed by no ships of war".
(Rev 7:9-17. Isaiah 33:21 Moffatt). Our Heavenly Father Jehovah is about
to flood the earth with the Spirit of His righteousness. Spirit "waters"
will arouse His people to begin the journey that will lead them to their
ultimate destination: Spiritual "Jerusalem". But these "waters"
will not flood over His people, for it says: "In case
you should pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers,
they will not flood over you." (43:2).
NAVIGATION.
Navigation will be by the Spirit of
God. These Spirit "waters" flooding over all the earth will create
in His people a spiritual need to go where His Spirit wills. (Matt 5:3).
That is why His people are instructed not to resist the Will of God for them,
but that figuratively speaking: "Your ropes must hang loose; their mast
they will not hold firmly erect; they have not spread a sail". (33:23).
'VEHICLES' BY WHICH GODLESS PEOPLE WAR AGAINST GOD.
As for the "war chariot",
the "military force" and the "strong ones" used by
satan as a "rod" to subdue nations and persecute people of God:
"They will lie down. They will not get up. They will certainly be
extinguished. Like a flaxen wick they must be put out." (43:17. See
14:5,6).
"LOOK! I AM DOING SOMETHING NEW."
What is it that Jehovah will do
that is "something new" that His people
"will know"?
It is that: "Through the wilderness I shall set
a way, through the desert
rivers." (43:19). The "great crowd" are being gathered
from a spiritual "wilderness" condition and will be set upon the
"Way of Holiness" (35:8-10) just as it is written: "I shall
have given water even in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to cause My
people, My chosen one, to drink, the people whom I have formed for Myself, that
they should recount the praise of Me." (43:19 21).
THE LEGAL CASE
OF ZION AGAINST APOSTATES.
"Jehovah has a day of vengeance, a
year of retributions for the legal case over Zion."
(34:8). "Jehovah will certainly be put on high, for He is residing in the
height. He must fill Zion with justice and righteousness." (33:5). To
apostates Jehovah says: "Your own spirit, as a fire, will eat you up. And
peoples must become as the burnings of lime. As thorns cut away, they will be
set ablaze even with fire… In Zion the sinners have come to be in dread;
shivering has grabbed hold of the apostates: 'Who of us can reside for any time
with a devouring fire? Who of us can reside for any time with long-lasting
conflagrations?'" (See 33:10 14).
A COVENANT OF
GOD.
"Yes, I do
establish My covenant with you: No more will all flesh be cut off by waters of a
deluge, and no more will there occur a deluge to bring the earth to ruin."
(Gen 9:11). Flooding the earth with the Spirit of His righteousness will be like
the "days of Noah" only in a spiritual sense. (Matt
24:36-39). The intended purpose of these Spirit "waters" is not to
cut off all flesh or "bring the earth to ruin", but to gather the
beloved people of God.
