Expose their
conceit, and the masks fall
Revealing one's enemies.
Like exposing flaws behind whitewash
It shocks.
But you are gaining wisdom.
Smooth tongues
only manipulate
The maladjusted.
The wise see through their cunning
The hollowness of fools.
So are you wanting in wisdom?
To test the
undiscerning is wise
From time to time,
As some will prove they are not
True friends.
Disappointment too comes with wisdom.
Consider then
when counting
The souls of your friends,
Will you need all your fingers?
Or those of just one hand?
And will you still seek wisdom?
