THE "CONTEMPTIBLE CREATURE"
OF DANIEL 11:21 (NEB).
Mankind is sometimes likened to
seas, boisterous at times, at other times calm. Demon angel princes have
exercised evil influence at selected times in mankind's history to bring about
changes for a specific purpose. With this in mind, let us read Daniel
10:13,14: "But the angel prince of the kingdom of Persia resisted me for
twenty-one days, and then, seeing that I had held out there,
Michael,
one of the chief princes, came to help me against the prince of the kingdom of
Persia. And I have come to explain to you what will happen
to your people
in days to come; for this too is a vision for those days."
(NEB).
It is important to note that:

There are both physical and spiritual
fulfilments of the prophecy of Daniel Ch.11 & 12
taking place in the "time of the end".

Heavenly angels of God have been in
conflict with demon angel princes, including those of Persia

and Greece.

"contemptible creature"
is Ayatollah Khomeini. (11:21
NEB). |

"disgusting thing"
(NWT)
also called the
"appalling abomination" (Moffatt)
and the
"abominable thing"
(NEB)
is a spirit rebellion by
apostates within Christ's congregations usurping the authority of
Spirit anointed brothers of The Christ Michael and appropriating their
congregational
responsibilities. (11:31).

AT THE "TIME OF THE END".
Besides having contempt for the
Shah of Iran, the demon angel prince of Persia has proved contemptuous of God
and The Christ Michael the Prince of the Covenant. (11:22
NEB).
This demonic angel prince inspired the "contemptible creature"
Ayatollah Khomeini. Though not given recognition as king, Khomeini came to
power through a populist revolt against the Persian monarchy, seizing that
kingdom by dissimulation and intrigue in time of peace. (11:21 NEB).
Khomeini's seizure of the kingdom took place when millions of Iranians subjected
themselves to his demonically inspired will, and on January 19th 1979
demonstrated against the Shah Pahlavi of Iran. (See: 'The Fall of
the Shah: The End of an Era' by Fereydoun Hoveyda).
January 19th 1979 was also the end
of the 2,300 evenings and mornings of Daniel 8:13,14
(NEB). But "when the power of the holy people ceases to be dispersed,
all these things shall
come to an end." (12:7 NEB).
The evil influence of the demon angel prince over Persians (Iranians) has
certainly been effective, and has revealed their demonic spirit aspect in the
"time of the end" of this system of things. Khomeini is a
"warrior king" without kingly recognition, and is at war with other
nations. (11:25 NEB).
Although the prophecy describing
the activities of the "king of the North" and "king of
the South" was given to Daniel, it was put on record so that we would
know "what will happen to your people in days to come;
for this too
is a vision for those days" (our days). (10:14
NEB).

KHOMEINI IS DYING.
Although a
demonic instrument of contempt against the Prince of the Covenant of God,
Ayatollah Khomeini is being made weak and his kingdom "shattered"
by war. "It will not pass to his descendants, nor will any of his
successors have an empire like his". (11:4
NEB).
Under the demon angel prince of
Persia, his legacy has been the Islamic revolution until
Michael stands up in authority. (12:1).
