"LEST I COME AND PUT THE LAND
UNDER A BAN TO DESTROY IT."

"FATHERS": ONE'S HEAVENLY FATHER AND ONE'S EARTHLY FATHER.
"Look, I will send you the prophet Elijah before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes. He will reconcile fathers to sons and sons to fathers, lest I come and put the land under a ban to destroy it." (Mal 4:5,6 NEB).

When Almighty God has satan and his demons abyssed, the as yet unreconciled sons of faithful anointed fathers who did not believe their fathers were anointed by God and so refused to accept their spiritual work, will have this demonically inspired "veil" of stubborn ignorance removed. (2 Cor 3:16-18). At a time appointed by God, the spirits of such ones will be touched by His Spirit. Having lived worldly unrepentant lives unreconciled to Him, they will begin to feel "thirsty" and their souls "dried out" in accordance with Isaiah 29:8. Their repentance and reconciliation both to Almighty God and to their earthly fathers will be in fulfilment of Malachi 4:5,6.

As faithful anointed sons of God with the Spirit of Elijah are resurrected to heaven during the "last days" of this "Esau" age, they will each leave remaining with a faithful son the Spirit of Elijah to continue the work of removing the spirit of uncleanness from the spiritual "land" of God. This will include spiritually teaching their as yet unreconciled brothers to reconcile them to their faithful anointed fathers and ultimately to their Heavenly Father Almighty God Jehovah.

"Before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes", the success of this spiritual work must be proven before God, lest by its failure He then comes to put His spiritual "land" under a ban to destroy it, and actually strikes the earth with a devoting of it to destruction. (4:5,6 NEB & NWT). As for satan and his demons, they do not want sons to be reconciled to their faithful anointed fathers in the Lord, and try to prevent it so that Almighty God will be forced to destroy the inhabitants of the earth and so defeat His Will for mankind. (1 Tim 2:1 6). There are two points to be borne in mind:

(1)	There are many unreconciled sons of faithful anointed fathers that until now have refused to believe the anointing of their fathers or their spiritual work of warring against the spirit of uncleanness in the spiritual *"land"* of God.
(2)	There are many obedient sons of faithful anointed fathers who on receiving the Spirit of Elijah from them will carry out the future work of reconciling their as yet unreconciled brothers to their anointed fathers and to their Heavenly Father.

"Look! I am sending to you people Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and fear-inspiring day of Jehovah. And he must turn the heart of fathers back toward sons, and the heart of sons back toward fathers; in order that I may not come and actually strike the earth with a devoting of it to destruction." (Mal 4:5,6 NWT).
