LAWLESSNESS REVEALED BY THE
SPIRIT
OF
THE
CHRIST'S
MOUTH.
(And sent to many JW congregations).
In fulfilment of the prophecy
through Paul the apostle to the nations, our Lord Jesus revealed that during the
last days before the "day of Jehovah" (2 Thess 2:2), the
"restraint" acting against spirit lawlessness in the Lord's
congregations would be removed such that it "gets to be out of the way". (2:7 NWT. See Moffatt).
"Gets to be out
of the way" means that
faithful anointed ones were removed to make way for satan's plan through his
"man of lawlessness". (2:3). The "restraint" was the
Holy Spirit of God with which He anoints His sons, and which kept spirit
lawlessness in check curbing and limiting the lawlessness that satan
intended to put in place, and revealed by our Lord Jesus through his anointed
brothers. When the plan was implemented in Cwmbran congregation, lawless ones
recommended and appointed each other as unsealed overseers or
'elders' until
they became fourteen in number. They even appointed a schizophrenic, one not
"sound in mind", while at the same time ostracizing and removing the
only declared anointed son of God in that congregation. (1 Tim 3:2).
Although the apostle John was a
restraint against spirit lawlessness, and believed to be the last of the twelve
apostles to die, he was not removed by the apostate "man of lawlessness"
revealed in this last generation. In fact, this lawlessness was still a mystery
in John's time and was not then due to be revealed, for the "lying signs
and portents" had not yet begun. (2:6-9). However, this rebellion
has been fulfilled in every detail in this
generation by the sect falsely calling themselves Jehovah's Witnesses. For
they declare "the day of Jehovah is here", and in fulfilment
of the prophecy have distributed many "lying signs and portents"
in books, magazines and tracts worldwide. This "man of lawlessness"
is the "Enemy" that removed those who were a "restraint"
to their satanic plan to usurp the authority of anointed sons of God, thereby
"claiming to be a god".
(2:4 NEB).
WHO AND WHAT WILL THE LORD
DESTROY AT HIS COMING? (2:8).
He will destroy
the powerful satanically inspired works of unrighteous deception of the
"man of lawlessness". All those guilty of this apostasy shall perish
because "they did not accept the love of the truth" and refused to
listen to the least of The Christ's anointed brothers "that they might be
saved". (2:10-12). They instead appointed
'elders' of their
own "to have their ears tickled" rather than implement the
life-saving Spirit corrective disciplines of righteousness. (2 Tim 4:3,4).
