THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS OF GOD
REGARDING HIS PROPHETS.

(1)

"If you will choose noble utterance and reject the base, you shall be my spokesmen".  (From Jer 15:19 NEB).

(2)

"...if you will purify yourself from passion's dross, then you shall be my spokesman".  (From Jer 15:19 Moffatt).

(3)

"And if you will bring forth what is precious from valueless things, you will become like my own mouth".  (From Jer 15:19 NWT).

The underlined expression from each of the three translations provides us with greater understanding of the prophecy. Jehovah God answered the prophet Jeremiah, instructing him to bring forth what is precious and to reject morally low utterances. Passion's dross is the emotional expression of anger over impure valueless things. The prophet Micah suffered the raging Spirit of God, but he knew that God would bring him forth to the "light".  (Micah 7:9 NWT).

Jeremiah's pain was chronic because it was as a result of the indignation of God. It was not illness or pain that was physically curable, and remained until the indignation of Jehovah had come to an end. When those causing the anger of God continue to ignore His Word through His prophets, there is no longer any hope for them, only calamity.  (Jer 19:3 15). Today, a similar though far more extensive calamity is reaching its climax worldwide: The fulfilment of the prophetic utterances through Daniel. (Chapters 11 and 12). Unfaithful covenant-leavers showing contempt for the new covenant by The Christ are being separated from those who are faithful to their anointing from God.  (Dan 11:32 NEB).

Like Jeremiah, those who receive news of calamity from God upon Godless ones experience 'ringing' in the  ears  (Jeremiah 19:3 NEB & Moffatt) according to the principle of 1 Samuel 3:11 14  (NEB & Moffatt) and 2 Kings 21:12 (NEB & Moffatt). It is an indication of the Judgement of God against the ba'al worship of the "children" of Ahab as family gods and the spirit "fornication" of unfaithful covenant-leavers acting as priests today.  (Rev 2:20-23).

For many years this writer has suffered a constant 'ringing' in the ears: "for it is with denunciation that You  have  filled me", Lord. (Jer 15:17 NWT & Moffatt). My Father, I have chosen the "noble utterance" of Your denunciations.  Few heed them.
