(Cont. from Page 814). 815. As members of the "new covenant" only anointed men have been appointed for ministerial work in Christ's congregations, to teach and shepherd people of God. (Heb 8:10). The reason for this is quite clear: Jehovah gathers those called as His sons by Holy Spirit, anointing them for ministerial work with a portion of His Spirit, which teaches them. (Eph 4:11,12. 1 John 2:20,27). But members of the "other sheep" are those calling upon His Name. (See 1 Cor 1:2. John 10:16). Such ones are not taught directly by Jehovah's Spirit within their spirit according to an anointing. The "other sheep" are those who take hold of the "skirt" (righteous examples and teachings) of those who are spiritual "Jews" by Spirit, and are correctly taught by them the Word from God. (Zech 8:23). It does not say in His Holy Word that a spiritual "Jew" takes hold of the 'skirt' of men acting in the place of "Jews". (Rev 3:9).
Further it says to anointed ones: "And you have an anointing from the Holy
One; all of you have knowledge... And as for you, the anointing that you
received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to be
teaching you; but, as the anointing from Him is teaching you about all things,
and is true and is no lie, and just as it has taught you, remain in union with
Him." (1 John 2:20,27). "Anyone" means other
individuals, whether it be another spiritual "Jew", or a member of
the "other sheep". Nor are anointed ones taught from what passes
from a spiritual "Jew" through a member of the "other sheep"
to another spiritual "Jew", as the sect of JWs teach. Not to
misunderstand the truth in this regard, it is Jehovah's Spirit in an anointed
one that teaches him the Spirit of the teaching from God, not a particular
individual. His Spirit frees anointed ones from erroneous teachings. In this way
the Spirit teaches an anointed one obedient to its leading.  (1 John 2:27)  (Eph 4:14
EACH RESPECTIVE MEMBER GIVES THEIR DUE MEASURE WITH
But to the offenders it is written: "Jehovah will cut off each one that
does it, one who is awake and one who is answering, from the tents of Jacob".
These words are addressed to spiritual "Israelites" made aware of this sin
toward Jehovah and their brothers, but who persist in it. (Mal 2:12). For
refusing "due measures" from members of the "body"
of Christ, which are Jehovah's spiritual directives through His anointed
underpriests for the people, they are in this way robbing Jehovah in the
"tenth parts" and in the "contributions". How can they
offer a clean "gift" to our Heavenly Father? What answer can they
give to their many anointed brothers that are appointed by Jehovah as
overseers  (Cont. on Page 816). 11/7/77. |
